Turnitin is a plagiarism detection and prevention tool that allows instructors to check student submissions by comparing them against a vast database of academic papers, publications, and web content. When enabled for an assignment, Turnitin generates an originality report highlighting any matching or similar text found in other sources.
Turnitin can only be used within Canvas via student-submitted papers in assignments. The Turnitin website cannot be used directly for generating reports. When you are setting up your assignments, you can select Turnitin as your Plagiarism Review tool.
