How Do I Use GoReact?

Updated on

GoReact is an interactive platform for feedback, grading, and critiquing of video assignments.

Brown purchases a limited quantity of licenses for GoReact, so if you would like to learn more about this tool before using it in your course, please reach out to [email protected].

Accessing GoReact via Canvas is a different experience than just going to goreact.com, because the two systems do not communicate. To create/access your course/assignment, please log in through Canvas. You will never need to go to goreact.com to access a Canvas course/assignment.

How to Use GoReact

  1. Within your course, navigate to Assignments and click the + Assignment button. This will open the Create New Assignment Page in Canvas.

  1. Give the assignment a name and set the appropriate number of points.

  1. Scroll down to the Submission Type section. Select External Tool from the drop down menu.  Under "Enter or find an External Tool URL", click Find.

  1. In the Configure External Tool dialogue that appears, select "GoReact" from your list of external tools, and check the setting to "Load This Tool In A New Tab".

  1. The dialogue window will close automatically and return you to the Configure External Tool dialogue.

Please do not alter or remove the URL that appears in this window.  Click the Select button.
